Documentary Synopsis
Devenir is an intimate portrait of Marie-Josée Chartier, dancer and choreographer. The camera follows Marie-Josée in her daily routine, rehearsals, and performances while she provides a running commentary on her life and work. She goes deeper into a dark creative space when recounting how dance liberated her from the debilitating effects of a personal loss.
